Reporting Requirements

SALSI-funded projects are subject to the following reporting requirements:

Final Technical Report due thirty days following the end date of the project. The final technical report shall include a summary of progress toward the stated aims of the project, a list of significant results, plans for continuing the project (if applicable and including plans to submit for external funding), and a list of any publications.

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) reporting due quarterly (for periods ending September 30, December 31, March 31, and June 30). Because SALSI funding originates with ARRA monies provided to the State of Texas, the special reporting requirements of the ARRA apply. At the project onset, investigators will be asked to provide a short, easily-understandable description of the project. On a quarterly basis, investigators will be requested for the following:
  1. Project Status: The status of the work that has been completed. This evaluation should be based on performance to date choosing one of the following options: Not started; Less than 50% completed; Completed 50% or more; Fully Completed.
  2. Jobs Created/Retained - Narrative Description: A narrative description of the employment impact of the Recovery Act funded work. This narrative should be cumulative for each calendar quarter. At a minimum please provide a brief description of the types of jobs created and the jobs retained.
  3. Number of jobs: A numerical estimate of the number of jobs created and jobs retained. At a minimum this information should include any new positions created and any existing filled positions that were retained to support of carry out the SALSI project. The number should be expressed as "full-time equivalent" (FTE).

This information will be requested by the Offices of Sponsored Programs at each campus who will then coordinate the submission of these ARRA reporting elements to the appropriate State of Texas agency.
